Quick answer
An IPTV editor lets you clean up an M3U playlist: delete channels and groups you never watch, rename and reorder categories, fix logos and match tvg-id values to the EPG. Small lists can be edited in a text editor; online editors build a new personal playlist URL.

Edit an M3U file by hand

What an online IPTV editor adds
- Drag-and-drop ordering of groups and channels.
- Bulk hide by country or category.
- EPG matching suggestions.
- A new playlist URL that updates when your provider adds channels.
Protect your login
Your playlist URL is your login. Before pasting it into any online tool, make sure you trust it — and never post an edited playlist publicly.
Frequently asked questions
What is an IPTV editor?
A tool for cleaning up an M3U playlist: removing channels and groups, renaming and reordering categories, fixing logos and EPG IDs. Online editors usually give you a new personal playlist URL.
Is it safe to use an online IPTV editor?
Your playlist URL contains your login, and online editors store it on their servers. Use a well-known service you trust, or edit locally in a text editor.
Will my edits survive provider updates?
A static edited file will not pick up new channels. Online editors that re-read your source playlist keep it in sync.
Is there an easier way?
Yes: most players let you hide groups and build favourites without touching the file — TiviMate is especially good at it.
